Queen Quet Closes out the APHA Conference at the GA World Congress Center
Queen Quet, Chieftess of the Gullah/Geechee Nation (www.QueenQuet.com), Founder of the Gullah/Geechee Sea Island Coalition (www.GullahGeechee.net), and Founding Member and Secretary of the Gullah/Geechee Fishing Association (www.GullahGeecheeFishing.net) was one of the closing panelists for the American Public Health Association‘s national conference on November 8, 2017. Not only did 12,000 thousand attendees hear her present, “Yeddi We: Rising Voices of the Gullah/Geechee” in person the dialogue was broadcasted live. Up to 2 million viewers have been able to access the presentation which received a standing ovation.
